Installation

Download

Yawet is a java application and therefore needs an installed java on your system. If you do not have Java 1.4 or higher installed, download it from
http://www.java.com/en/download

Then download Yawet from
http://www.informatrix.ch/yawet/yawet.jar.

Start

Start the application by double clicking on
yawet.jar

or open a shell, change to the download directory and write
javaw -jar yawet.jar

Windows XP Integration

The following steps are optional. You can do it, if you like Yawet to have an icon and to start Yawet by double clicking on Yawet project files (*.ywt). To execute this steps some administrator experience with Windows XP might be beneficial.
We asume that you have downloaded yawet.jar to C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.jar and that java is installed in C:\jdk1.5.0\jre\

• Download http://www.informatrix.ch/yawet/yawet.ico and store it at
  C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.ico
• Create a new shortcut C:\Program Files\yawet\Yawet
  
• Set the shortcut properties to:
  Name: Yawet
  Target: C:\jdk1.5.0\jre\bin\javaw.exe -jar "C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.jar"
  Start in: "C:\Program Files\yawet"
  Change Icon: C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.ico
• Copy this shortcut to your desktop or to your Start Menu directory (in your user profile).
  Use it to start Yawet :-)
• In the explorer select [Tools]-[Folder Options]-[File Types].
  Create a new file extension "YWT". Click [Ok].
• Select the new file extension and click [Advanced] to reach the [Edit File Type] dialog
  Select C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.ico as icon.
• Click [New] to create a new action. Set the following properties:
  Action: open
  Application: C:\jdk1.5.0\jre\bin\javaw.exe -jar "C:\Program Files\yawet\yawet.jar" %1
  Now all your Yawet project files will have an icon and can be started with double click.
